Verna, a BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer, has been strength training for over 20 years. After many years of participation in sports ranging from tennis, swimming, biking, running and basketball, to kayaking and rock climbing, Verna became interested in strength training as a way to prevent injury and to keep in shape in the “off-season” and has since become a keen advocate of the benefits of strength training and enjoys helping others realize their fitness goals.

Phil has over fifteen years’ professional experience as an outdoor educator, and fitness instructor. Phil became a certified personal trainer after a life-changing car accident forced him to rebuild his strength and motivation with the help of rehabilitation therapists. Now, having been through his own rehabilitation journey, Phil gives his clients the patience, perseverance and determination they need to make positive fitness and lifestyle changes.

Phil specializes in working with people who require customized fitness training. His specialty client groups include people living with chronic illness such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Phil also works with people who are new to exercise and struggling to find the motivation to commit to their personal fitness goals.

Phil’s philosophy is that fitness training can invigorate and enhance all aspects of life for everyone, regardless of their current condition, and that it’s always the right time to start training!
